Vintage Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Oval Box 79AB

A sterling silver Georg Jensen box with hand-chased floral decoration and handle on the lid, design #79AB by Georg Jensen from circa 1918. The box is oval in shape, the lid is a separate piece and lifts off completely. This box was part of a dressing-table suite, all pieces in the suite were marked with design number #79.

Dimensions: Measures 3 1/2″ x 2 3/8″ and 1 1/2″ in height to the top of the handle (9cm x 6.1cm x 4cm). Weighs 3.4oz (96.5g).

Hallmarks: With vintage Georg Jensen hallmarks from 1925-1932, early for this design.
