Vintage Georg Jensen Pyramid Silverware Service, Twelve Settings

This is a sterling silverware service in the Pyramid pattern, design #15 by Harald Nielsen from 1926. The Pyramid pattern was designed in the wake of the discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb by Howard Carter in 1922. The many wondrous finds in the untouched tomb set off a wave of Egyptomania. This set comprises 12 settings of 6 pieces.

The service is:

  • 12 dinner forks (7 1/8″, 18.1cm)
  • 12 dinner knives, short handle (8 7/8″, 22.5cm)
  • 12 luncheon/salad forks (6 3/8″, 16.1cm)
  • 12 luncheon/salad knives, short handle (7 5/8″, 19.5cm)
  • 12 soup/dessert spoons (6 1/2″, 16.5cm)
  • 12 coffee spoons (4 1/8″, 10.5cm).

72 pieces total, all in excellent vintage condition. Georg Jensen hallmarks from 1930-.
