Vintage Georg Jensen Letter Opener/Bookmark 198

This is a sterling silver Georg Jensen combined letter opener and bookmark with finial in the shape of a fish, design #198 by Harald Nielsen. The small blade is for opening letters, the long chain coming from the mouth of the fish, ending in a small charm, is a bookmark.

The letter opener measures 4 5/8″ in length, the chain is 10½” (11.6cm, 26.5cm).

Vintage Georg Jensen hallmark from 1945-1951.

Please see the last image from an old pamphlet, the caption “Papirkniv og bogmærk Nr.198”, translates as “Paper knife and bookmark No.198”.
