Vintage Georg Jensen Iron & Silver Brooch 5028 by Harald Nielsen

An iron Georg Jensen brooch with applied sterling silver decoration with Art Deco floral motif, design #5028 by Harald Nielsen.

This iron piece is from the war years or just after, when silver was scarce due to the Allied naval blockade of Europe. Georg Jensen had to find creative new ways to use as little silver as possible while maintaining the same high standards of design and quality.

Dimensions: Measures 1 5/16″ x 7/8″ (3.3cm x 2.2cm).

Hallmarks: “HN GEORG JENSEN 5028”, produced circa early 1940s – 1946.

In good condition, the pin and lock are perfect, the silver pattern is slightly worn.
