Vintage Georg Jensen Iron & Silver Brooch 5001C

This is an iron Georg Jensen brooch with applied sterling silver decoration with wheat motif, design #5001C by Arno Malinowski from circa 1944.

This iron piece is from the war years and just after when silver was scarce due to the Allied blockade. Georg Jensen had to find creative new ways to use as little silver as possible while maintaining the same high standards of design and quality.

Measures 1 5/8″ x 1 5/8″ (4cm x 4cm).

Marked on the back “AM” monogram for Arno Malinowski and “GEORG JENSEN 5001C”.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
