Vintage Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Candelabra Design No. 619

A pair of Georg Jensen sterling silver two-light candelabra, design no. 619 by Harald Nielsen. Two arms rise from a stepped round foot, cross each other in a wide loop and curve up to bell-shaped candle cups, with small leaf details where they meet and a pine cone finial standing at the centre. The crossing arms do the work that applied ornament does on heavier designs, so the pair reads as light despite being solid silver. Nielsen drew the design around 1930; these were made between 1945 and 1977.

Dimensions: each 6 5/8″ (16.8 cm) high, 6 5/8″ (16.8 cm) span, 3 1/2″ (8.9 cm) across the base

Weight: 805 g for the pair (25.9 troy oz.), approximately 402 g each
