Vintage F. Hingelberg Pipkin by Svend Weihrauch

Sterling silver pipkin with ebonite handle and heat insulating foot, designed by Svend Weihrauch in 1954 for silversmithy F. Hingelberg, Aarhus, Denmark

Dimensions: Measures 2 1/4″ in height, diameter at widest part 3 1/8″ (5.8cm, 8cm).

Hallmarks: “STERLING DENMARK F.HINGELBERG AARHUS 925S 33202”. The Hingelberg stamp is topped by a crown, indicating that F. Hingelberg were purveyors to the Royal Danish Court. This hallmark was used between 1948-1971.

This piece is pictured on p.189 of the book “Svend Weihrauch” by Jörg Schwandt, published in connection with an exhibition at Koldinghus Museum in 1998. An example of this piece is owned by Koldinghus Museum
