Vintage Extra Large Georg Jensen Cookie Jar 440B by Harald Nielsen

Vintage sterling silver Georg Jensen extra large cookie jar with floral finial, design #440B by Harald Nielsen from circa 1925. The body has rounded sides with a hand-hammered finish and stands on an applied ring foot. The lid is raised in graduated steps, also with the hand hammered surface and is topped by an imposing stylistic floral and spherical finial.

Dimensions: Measures 9 1/8″ to top of finial and 7″ in diameter at widest part (23cm, 17.5cm). Weighs 49.73oz (1,410g).

Hallmarks: Vintage Georg Jensen hallmarks from 1933-1944.
