Vintage Evald Nielsen Drop Brooch With Malachite

Vintage silver Evald Nielsen brooch mounted with four malachite stones and with two malachite drops.
Measures 2 3/4″ across x 2″ (7cm x 5.1cm).
Hallmarked, “EN 826s” on the brooch and on both drops, the 826 silver standard was typical in Denmark in the first years of the 20th century, so this piece is most likely early. Evald Nielsen was a Copenhagen silversmith, active from 1905 until his death in 1958. Evald Nielsen designed his own creations and is particularly known for the unusual way he mounted stones on his designs.
