Vintage Evald Nielsen Art Nouveau Silver Bowl

This is a vintage 830 silver Danish bowl, designed and produced  by Evald Nielsen (active 1905-1931) of Copenhagen. This hand-hammered bowl has a simple round form, decorated on the side by five differing floral motifs and stands on a raised foot. The hammered surface is still visible. Evald Nielsen was a contemporary of Georg Jensen, and had his own bombastic interpretation of the Art Nouveau style.

Dimensions: Measures 4 3/8″ in height, diameter at top 7 3/4″ (11cm, 19.5cm). Weighs 17.28oz (490g).

Hallmarks: Marked underneath with “Evald Nielsen” signature and “830s”.
