Vintage Dutch Sterling Silver Box With Enamel Fish

This is a sterling silver box with an applied enamel panel on the lid depicting and angel fish, made in the Netherlands.

Dimensions: 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″ and 1 3/4″ in height (8cm x 8cm x 4.7cm).

Hallmarks: Marked under the lid with rampant lion in a shield with the figure “1”, this mark used from 1814-1953 to denote .934 silver content. Also with a worn makers mark, possibly “JEP” or “SEP”.

Marked underneath with very worn hallmarks and possibly date code “E” for 1939.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
