Vintage Carl M. Cohr Silver Scalloped Oval Tray From 1937

A silver scalloped oval tray, produced in 1937 by Danish silversmithy Carl M. Cohr, from the town of Fredericia on the Jutland peninsular.

Dimensions: Measures 17 5/8″ x 12 5/8″ (44.5cm x 32.1cm). Weighs 36.5oz (1,035g).

Hallmarks: Marked with the hallmark for Carl M. Cohr. Also hallmarked with a Three Towers hallmark for 1937, at this time guaranteeing a minimum silver content of 830s (83%), which was the Danish standard at the time. Cohr was one of the largest Danish silver producers in the 20th century and had a considerable export business, particularly in Scandinavia.
