Very Rare Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Teapot and Hot Water Pitcher 985

A very rare vintage Georg Jensen sterling silver teapot and hot water pitcher #985, designed by Magnus Stephensen in 1951. A mid-century small one person teapot in the form of a bee skep. A small round lid with a finial. A tea infuser fits neatly into the teapot. The handle of sterling silver wrapped with rattan.  The lower cylindrical pitcher is for holding hot water. it has a double purpose as it holds hot water for topping up the teapot and the hot water from the pitcher heats the teapot . The handle of silver wrapped with rattan.

Dimensions: Measures 10½” (26.3cm) in height from the base to the top of the handle

Volume: Teapot: Circa  1 1/4″ cups (300ml). Hot Water Pitcher: circa 2 3/4 cups (700ml).

Hallmarks: “MS Georg Jensen Sterling Denmark #985”.
