Small Vintage F. Hingelberg Pitcher by Svend Weihrauch

Small sterling silver Mid-Century pitcher with ivory handle, designed by Svend Weihrauch, probably from the 1940s. Elegant Mid-Century design, F. Hingelberg was one of the premier silver makers in Denmark at the time, their hand craftsmanship is of the absolute highest quality. The ivory handle is not cracked, what you see is the natural patina of ivory that is ageing. There is an ebonite ring applied under the pitcher for insulation.

Dimensions: The pitcher measures 5 1/8″ (13cm) in height, it holds approximately 15.2fl.oz (450ml). Gross weight 10.9oz (310g).

Hallmarks: With hallmark for F. Hingelberg from 1948-1971, “Sterling Denmark F.Hingelberg Aarhus 925S”. The Hingelberg hallmark is topped by a crown, as Hingelberg was a purveyor to the Royal Danish Court.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
