Small Vintage F. Hingelberg Art Deco Pitcher by Svend Weihrauch 896

An early small sterling silver Art Deco pitcher, design #896 by Svend Weihrauch from 1938. This stunning piece features the exquisite Art Deco design typical of F. Hingelberg, one of Denmark’s premier silver makers at the time, renowned for their exceptional hand craftsmanship. The handle is particularly noteworthy, constructed from three separate silver segments that join at the bottom, creating an elegant Art Deco aesthetic. The body, or belly, has a hand-forged round shape, adding to the graceful form of the piece. The base is adorned with the same three-ring deco design as the handle, completing the cohesive Art Deco theme. An example of this design is part of the collection at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

  • Dimensions: 6 1/4″ (16cm) tall
  • Volume: The pitcher holds approximately 20.25 fl.oz (600ml).

  • Hallmarks: Marked with the F. Hingelberg hallmark from 1937-1944, “925 SOLV F.HINGELBERG AARHUS STERLING DENMARK 925 SOLV”, and also bears the design number “896”
