Small Vintage F. Hingelberg Art Deco Pitcher by Svend Weihrauch 896

Small sterling silver Art Deco pitcher, design #896 by Svend Weihrauch from 1938. Beautiful Art Deco design, F. Hingelberg was one of the premier silver makers in Denmark at the time, their hand craftsmanship is of the absolute highest quality. Please note the construction of the handle, it is made up of three separate silver handles which join at the bottom, giving an elegant Art Deco look. There is an example of this design in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

  • Dimensions: The pitcher measures 6 1/4″ (16cm) in height
  • The pitcher holds approximately 20.25fl.oz (600ml).
  • Gross weight 14.8oz (420g).
  • Hallmarks: With hallmark for F. Hingelberg from 1937-1944, “925 SOLV  F.HINGELBERG AARHUS STERLING DENMARK 925 SOLV”, also marked with design number “896”. “Solv” is the Danish word for silver.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
