Pair of Danish Sterling Silver Candle Holders by A. Michelsen

A pair of sterling silver Mid-Century candle holders, design by Eigil Jensen for A. Michelsen. Each candle holder holds three tapers, at three different heights. The idea is that you can set the candle holders in different constellations, according to needs, and vary the lighting effect.

Dimensions: Each measures 5 1/8″ in height, the diameter of the candle sockets is 1/2″ (13cm, 1.2cm).

Hallmarks: Each candle holder is hallmarked underneath, “A. Michelsen Copenhagen R EJ R9 Sterling Denmark”. The A. Michelsen hallmark is topped by a crown, as they were purveyors to the Royal Danish Court. “EJ” is the design mark for Eigil Jensen and R9 is a date code for 1968.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
