Rare Vintage Georg Jensen Vase 74

This is an hard to find sterling silver Georg Jensen vase with flying fish motif, design #74 by Georg Jensen from circa 1915. Flying fish travel through stylistic crashing waves, this is a most unusual animistic motif for Georg Jensen, who used almost exclusively floral decoration on his designs. This scene is all hand-chased, please see the last two images which show how the vase is constructed. The actual vase is flat bottomed, the stem is hollow and made up of the hand-chased fish scene on a beaded foot.

Measures 7½” in height, diameter at top 4 7/8″, diameter at base 4 9/16″ (19cm, 12.2cm, 11.5cm). Weighs 21.3oz (605g).

Vintage Georg Jensen hallmark from 1933-1944, also marked underneath with French import mark.
