Rare Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Bowl 268

An antique rare Georg Jensen sterling silver small bowl #268, designed by Johan Rohde in 1917.  A sphere shaped  bowl with flaring rim. The bowl has applied bead-and-strap work lattice to the sides. A technique that is extremely difficult to fabricate. The bowl rests on four scrolling bracket feet and stands on a stepped base centered by a bud finial. There are four loop hole rings attached to life the bowl.

Dimensions: H: 4 3⁄8 in. (11 cm.) ,diameter 6 3/4″ (17cm).

Weight: 22.2oz (630g)

Hallmarks: Very early Georg Jensen hallmarks with a 1919 date stamp.
