Rare Georg Jensen Lidded Bonbonniére

A very rare silver Georg Jensen bonbonniére designed by Johan Rohde. Normally Rohde’s designs tend ed to be less ornamental,  one could wonder if this design was a collaboration with Georg Jensen? This particular piece has no design number but was bought along with another that does, “design #248”.

Measures 8″ in height and 5 1/4″ in diameter (20cm, 13cm). Weighs 21.8oz (620g).

Very early Georg Jensen hallmarks from 1915-1919, with a large Copenhagen hallmark, 830S .
