Rare Georg Jensen Silver Bonbonniere 317

A large and very early Georg Jensen silver Bonbonniere design #317 by Johan Rohde in 1919. A large oval hand hammered bowl situated on a decorative filigree base, characteristic of Rohde during this period. The lid is a graduating oval form set with a crown like design handle. There is a enormous amount of attention committed to the design and function of this piece.

Dimensions: Height 6″ x length 6 1/4″ x width 5″ (15cm x 16cm x 13cm). Weight: Gross weight 22.75oz (645g) including the handles.

Hallmarks: extremely early 1920 Georg Jensen date stamp, as well as import marks to Sweden.
