Rare Georg Jensen Silver Bonbonniere 298

A large and very early Georg Jensen sterling silver bonbonniere, design #298 by Georg Jensen from circa 1919. A large oval hand hammered bonbonniere, the lid lifts off, the handle is hinged. The rim is beaded and chased, the feet are decorated with berries. There is a enormous amount of attention committed to the design and function of this piece.

Dimensions: Height 3 3/4″ x length 4 5/8″ x width 4″ (9.5cm x 12cm x 10.2cm). Weight: Weighs 12.25oz (348g).

Hallmarks: With vintage Georg Jensen hallmark, and London assay marks for 1927.
