Rare Georg Jensen Owl Ornamental Serving fork 39

A rare Georg Jensen sterling silver Owl serving fork in the ornamental pattern #39 by Georg Jensen. This design is an example of how, when the chasing time exceeds the smithy time, the piece becomes a work of art. The detail on this set is the finest we have seen. A hand chased owl resting on three leaves and a intertwined branch handle. The middle shaft is a chased floral design with five beads. The fork is hand forged.

Dimensions:   7 3/4″ (19.6 cm) in length. Total weight: 2.7oz (77g).

Hallmarks: With vintage Georg Jensen hallmark and Danish assay marks for 1927. Also marked with London import marks for 1926.
