Rare Georg Jensen Henning Koppel Water Pitcher 1017

A rare Mid-Century sterling silver Georg Jensen water pitcher with handles of guaiacum (a South American hardwood), design #1017 by Henning Koppel from circa 1952. A very sought after design that won a gold medal at the Milan Triennial in 1954, very few of these water pitchers were made. A very organic design, note the negative space formed by the outline of the handle.

Dimensions: Measures 5″ (15cm) in height. Gross weight 21.44oz (608g) including the handle. Holds 33.8fl.oz (1,000ml).

Hallmarks: Vintage Georg Jensen hallmark used between1945-1977, meaning this piece was made between 1952-1977.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
