Rare Georg Jensen Henning Koppel Centerpiece Bowl 980B

An early rare Mid-Century Georg Jensen sterling silver centerpiece bowl, design #980B by Henning Koppel. There are two sizes to this is design, and unlike the #980A which is still in production, there were very few of this slightly smaller #980B design made. This is also an early piece that was produced between 1952 and 1977. An organic sculptural bowl that rests an a three pointed base which resembles design #956 candelabra. The #980 design is the first of several large Hollowware pieces pieces Koppel designed from 1948-1958, upon his return from Sweden where Koppel resided during WW2.
