A Rare Large Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Centerpiece Bowl #268

An antique large and rare Georg Jensen sterling silver centerpiece bowl #268, designed by Johan Rohde in 1917.  A sphere shaped  bowl with flaring rim. The bowl has applied bead-and-strap work lattice to the sides. A technique that is extremely difficult to fabricate. The bowl rests on four scrolling bracket feet and stands on a stepped base centered by a bud finial. There are four loop hole rings attached to life the bowl.

Measurements: 1358 in. (34.5 cm.) in diameter

Weight: 2,787 grams (89 oz.)

Hallmarks: very early Georg Jensen hallmarks with a 1920 date stamp.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
