Rare Frantz Hingelberg Sterling Silver Tea Set

A rare Danish Frantz Hingleberg sterling silver Tea set designed by Svend Weihrauch in 1948. An Aladdin’s shaped teapot with curved ivory handle. The base of the teapot has a applied ebonit foot to act as an insulator, typical for Weihrauch’s designs. The creamer and sugar with silver handles. A very modern stunning mid-century design which would have been extremely difficult to fabricate.

Provenance:  Purchased in 1958 from La Casa Dinamarca in Cuba. The set has been with it’s original owner, until sold to us in February 2022. The original receipt and a letter from 1958 comes with the purchase.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
