Rare Boxed Set of Georg Jensen Fish Service For Twelve

A very early 26pce 830 silver fish service for twelve with matching serving set, in the Georg Jensen silverware pattern #55, design by Georg Jensen from circa 1914. The handles are two fish entwined, the finial is a shell. The serving ends are beautifully decorated with hand-chased flowers and there is a hand-cut pattern for the fish juices to drain. Both beautiful and functional.
There are 12 fish knives, 12 fish forks and a large 2pce serving set in this set which comes in a fitted leather case from the time of purchase (1915-1927).

Dimensions: Knives: 8 1/8″ (20.8cm), Forks: 7 3/8″ (18.5cm), Fish serving slice measures 10 3/4″ (27.3cm), Fish serving fork is 10″ (25.2cm).
Hallmarks: Very early Georg Jensen hallmarks from 1915-1927, 830s Georg Jensen, #170 on the knives and forks and #55 on the servers. The “170” is an old design number, Georg Jensen changed their design numbers, so this set is most likely made close to 1915.
