Pair of Monumental Georg Jensen Six-Light Candelabra 751

This is a pair of sterling silver Georg Jensen six-light candelabra, design #751 by Harald Nielsen from 1935. Each arm of the candelabra is a hollow silver tube, the five outer arms curved, and all with hand-chased lines along the length of each tube. The geometric Art Deco base is solid silver. Harald Nielsens Pyramid and Art Deco designs were inspired The British archaeologist Howard Carter’s 1922 discovery of King Tutankhamen’s tomb. Geometric shapes used as design which replaced the Floral Art Nouveau movement. Art Deco was considered Modern design during that period.
