Pair of Mid-Century Georg Jensen Candelabra 956 Henning Koppel

This is a pair of sculptural sterling silver Georg Jensen three-light candelabra, design by Henning Koppel from 1946.

This was Henning Koppel’s first hollowware design for Georg Jensen and was a radical departure in form and technique from anything they had produced before. The piece is an abstract sculpture, the technique involved casting silver, a departure from Georg Jensen’s traditional hammered silver. The piece stands on four “feet”, the three candles are all at different heights.

Measures 7″ in length x 6″ across and 5″ in height (17cm x 14.5cm, 13cm). These are solid silver and very heavy, weighing 89oz (2.5kg) in total.

Georg Jensen hallmarks and date codes H11 for 2006 and I11 for 2007.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
