Pair of Mid-Century Georg Jensen Candelabra 956 Henning Koppel

A vintage pair of Georg Jensen sterling silver three-light candelabra, design #956 by Henning Koppel, introduced in 1946. Among the most iconic examples of Danish Modern silver design, this was Henning Koppel’s first hollowware design for Georg Jensen and marked a revolutionary departure from the firm’s traditional Art Nouveau and Art Deco aesthetic.

The sculptural form is conceived as an abstract work of art, resting on four organic feet with three candle sockets rising at varying heights. The flowing asymmetrical silhouette creates a sense of movement and balance, reflecting Koppel’s fascination with modern sculpture and biomorphic design.
