Pair of Georg Jensen Lidded “Rose” Tureens With Ebony Handles 417

This is a pair of ornate and sought after sterling silver Georg Jensen lidded tureens with shell carved ebony handles, design #417A by Georg Jensen from circa 1920. This design sometimes referred to as “Rose”. The flower detail on the lid is organic and only a master silversmith could create such a piece. The ornate silver work above both ebony handles resembles the Blossom or Magnolia pattern. There is a whole family of “Rose” design pieces, several of which we currently have in stock, please see the extra image showing related products.

Dimensions: Each measures 11″ (27.5cm) across including the handles. The diameter without the handles is 7″ (17.5cm). The height is 5″ (12.5cm). The total weight is 64.7oz (1,835g) including the ebony handles.

Hallmarks: Vintage Georg Jensen Hallmarks from 1925-1932, early for this design. This price is for the pair (2pcs).
