Pair of A.Dragsted Sterling Silver Match Holders

A rare pair of sterling silver A. Dragsted match holders, Copenhagen, Denmark.

A charming and unusual pair of handcrafted sterling silver match holders by A. Dragsted, designed in the form of miniature railway signal lanterns. Each features a square body with a hinged lid, carrying handle, and a large colored glass lens—one ruby red and the other green. Integrated match strikers are fitted to the sides, combining functionality with elegant Danish Art Deco design.

The green glass has discolored with age, and a small section of the outer retaining ring is missing, as shown in the photographs.
