Monumental Georg Jensen Sterling Silver “Kings” Vase #250A
This Monumental Georg Jensen sterling silver vase, designed by Johan Rohde in 1928, is a part of the iconic #250A series. A direct descendant of the 1917 design, this vase shares the same craftsmanship and elegance as the famed ‘Kings Bowl,’ originally created for King Gustav V of Sweden.
The vase showcases exceptional hand-hammered craftsmanship, with its surface subtly textured to create a shimmering effect that captures and reflects light. The elongated, flared body of the vase features a beautiful oxidized floral section at its center, which is an oxidized floral bulb delicately framed by intricate scrollwork and floral pedals. The tiered pedestal base also carries the same level of attention to detail, with a hammered finish and a refined design that grounds the vase with elegance.
