Monumental Georg Jensen Sterling Silver “Kings” Bowl #250A

An early monumental sized sterling silver Georg Jensen centerpiece bowl, design #250A by Johan Rohde from 1917. This piece is the largest in this design collection, affectionately dubbed the “Kings Bowl” as was originally designed for King Gustav V of Sweden in 1917.

This magnificent centerpiece features a hammered pedestal base, adorned with a delightful combination of floral and scrollwork. At its heart, you’ll find an oxidized floral centerpiece, all encircled by a hand-hammered, sizeable sculptural bowl. The result is nothing short of monumental and impressive.

Dimensions: This stunning centerpiece stands an impressive 15 3/4 inches in height and boasts a diameter of 17 1/2 inches (approximately 40cm by 44cm).

Hallmarks: very early Georg Jensen hallmarks dating from 1925 to 1932.

Weight: A substantial 4914 grams (equivalent to 173 ounces).
