Monumental Georg Jensen Henning Koppel Masterpiece 1041, #1

A Monumental Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Masterpiece #1041, by Henning Koppel (1918-1981) in 1954. The prototype of this design was destroyed as Koppel was not happy with the finished result in 1954. Georg Jensen reintroduced this piece in by taking a twelve kilogram 6 mm thick sheet of fine silver and hand hammering the piece into shape. The result is a breath taking extra large modern sculptural work of art. This piece is example #1 featured in the video link below, crafted by hand at the Georg Jensen silver smithy in Denmark by Henrik Forster.
