Monumental Antique Georg Jensen Silver Chairman’s Bell 266 From 1919

This is a monumental 830 silver Georg Jensen chairman’s bell with hand-carved ivory handle, design #266 by Georg Jensen from circa 1918. The bell has a broad beaded rim, there are three hand-chased floral decorations below a spiraling dome, ending in a smaller beaded rim. The handle is hand-carved ivory, depicting a cherub holding a fish. There is some cracking in the handle, which is typical for aged ivory.

Dimensions: Measures 12 1/8″ in height, the bell has a diameter of 4 1/2″ (31cm, 11.3cm). Weighs 33.3oz (944g) without the handle but including the internal steel screw.

Hallmarks: Marked on the side with antique Georg Jensen hallmarks and date stamped 1919.
