Mogens Bjorn Andersen Sterling Silver Candlesticks

A pair of Danish sterling silver Art Deco candlesticks, designed and made by Mogens Bjørn Andersen. These rare candlesticks are design no. 1 and represent one of the very first, if not the first, designs created by Mogens Bjørn Andersen (1911–2014). Bjørn Andersen was Georg Jensen’s last personal apprentice and received his journeyman’s certificate in 1934.

The small candleholders feature a refined Art Deco form with tiered circular bases, a hollow ring-form center section, and attached sconces decorated with three hand-chased lines. Elegant in their simplicity, they are ideal for a side table or coffee table.
