Large Georg Jensen Henning Koppel Pitcher 978

An impressive sterling silver Georg Jensen mid-century pitcher, design #978 by Henning Koppel from 1948. Like many of Henning Koppel’s designs the organic sculptural form makes this piece technically incredibly difficult to make. The entire length of the handle is bound in silver thread, which is applied painstakingly and precisely by hand, extremely time-consuming!

Measures 13 5/8″ in height to the top of the handle, approximate diameter at widest point 6 1/4″ (35cm, 16cm).
