Large Georg Jensen Five-Light Candelabra by Johan Rohde 224

This is a pair of large sterling silver Georg Jensen five-light candelabra, design #224 by Johan Rohde from circa 1916. The five branches sprout from stylistic leaves, the finial is two fish intertwined upon a central sphere over a fluid twisting bulb. The candelabra stem is decorated with horizontal beading and vertical lines overlaid with a nordic pattern and is supported by four large scrolls resting on a plain hammered foot. The finial screws off and the central piece with the five branches is removable, for easier cleaning.

Measures 18 3/4″ in height to the top of the finial, the span is 13 3/4″, the base has a diameter of 7 7/8″ (48cm, 35cm, 20cm). Total weight for the pair circa 19.5lb (8.86kg).

Both marked with matching Georg Jensen hallmarks and date codes U11 for 2018. This price is for a pair, both pieces are new & unused.

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
