Large Evald Nielsen Danish Sterling Silver Box

An antique Danish 830 sterling silver large box by silversmith Evald Nielsen, crafted in Denmark in 1917. This exceptional hand-hammered box features a gently domed lid, softly curved sides, and a rich wooden-lined interior, showcasing the refined craftsmanship associated with early Danish silver design.

The lid is beautifully adorned with intricate hand-chased floral decoration, composed of four stylized blossom buds and petals interconnected by delicate bead-and-chain motifs. A discreet applied handle at the front allows for elegant and practical opening while maintaining the clean artistic lines of the piece. Entirely handcrafted by a highly skilled silversmith, the box demonstrates the remarkable level of artistry and attention to detail characteristic of Evald Nielsen’s finest work.

The condition is excellent, particularly remarkable considering the age of the piece.
