Large Early Georg Jensen Grapes Tazza 264A

A very early large vintage Georg Jensen sterling silver grapes tazza or compote, design #264A from 1918 by Georg Jensen. A round hammered bowl that rests an ornate column, with a wreath of hanging grapes. The hammered foot is round, all pieces handmade creating a lovely centerpiece bowl. This is the earliest example we have had in many years, complete with a 1924 date stamp. The grape on this early piece are quite different from one produced later. There are more different size silver balls on each grape, and each grape is different from the others making this a more naturalistic look.
