King Christian X Presentation Cup by A. Michelsen Denmark 1931

This is a sterling silver presentation cup, by Copenhagen silversmiths A. Michelsen. The cup is mounted with the monogram of King Christian X of Denmark and inscribed “Dannebrog 1931″. Dannebrog is the name given to the Danish national flag and the Royal Yacht bears the same name. Each summer the Danish regent tours the realm on Dannebrog, including such far-flung places as Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

The cup measures 3½” in height, diameter at top 3 1/4″ (9cm, 8.3cm). Weighs 5.64oz (160g).

Hallmarked underneath “A. MICHELSEN” topped by a crown, marking them as purveyors to the Royal Danish Court, and date stamped “1931”.
