Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Water Pitcher 432E

A Vintage Georg Jensen sterling silver pitcher with ebony handle, design #432E by Johan Rohde. This pitcher designed in 1920, it was not actually released until 1925, at the time management thought the design was too modern. A hand hammer oblong vessel supported by a round base. The handle is of ebony wood and the shape follows the form of the jug and continues into the spout, which has a hollow rim. A very difficult piece to create for any silversmith.

Dimensions:

  • Measures 9″ (23cm) in height. 5 1/2″ (13.2 cm) wide from the outside of the handle to the middle of the pitcher.
  • Weight  611 grams (21.55oz).
  • Volume: holds 50.7fl/oz (1.5L) of liquid.
  • Hallmarks: Georg Jensen sterling silver #432e R10 (for 1991).

All our items have been professionally polished by our Georg Jensen trained silversmith and are in excellent condition.
