Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Two-Light Candelabra 1087

A set of early vintage Georg Jensen sterling silver candelabra, designed as #1087 by Søren Georg Jensen in 1959. The design is sculptural, with the sole ornamentation being the open sides of each candelabra. It features a very elegant u-shaped design, often referred to as such. Søren Georg Jensen’s works in silver are rare; his focus on stone and other materials left little time for designing silver objects for Georg Jensen, primarily sculptural pieces. Adding to the desirability of this pair are the very early 1945-1977 hallmarks. There would have been a limited number of these produced from the design date of 1959 to 1977.
