Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Trio of Bowls 577

An exceptional trio of identical sterling silver Georg Jensen bowls, designed by Oscar Gundlach Pedersen in 1929 and numbered #577. Each substantial bowl or shallow handled dish showcases meticulous craftsmanship of the highest caliber, surpassing the usual standards. The art deco-inspired foot, handcrafted with precision, features a turned-out ring that provides sturdy support to the bowl. The bowl itself is elegantly shaped, resembling a beveled lily pad, exuding organic beauty. The pronounced lip or rim of the bowl is expertly turned over, a challenging task for any silversmith. Enhancing its functionality, the bowl incorporates ringed handles on opposing sides, transforming it into both a functional piece and a work of art.
