Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Tea Set 787

An early vintage sterling silver Georg Jensen tea set with ebony handles, design #787 by Johan Rohde from 1933. This is one of Johan Rohde’s last designs before his passing in 1935. The hand-hammered teapot features a flat deco-modern shape with a removable lid designed so that only the silver ball handle is visible. The carved ebony handle acts as an insulator. The base has a simple ring. The lidded sugar bowl shares the same design and craftsmanship as the teapot, and the creamer follows suit. A beautiful three-piece tea set with early prewar hallmarks from the design period.

This set includes:

  • Teapot: 4 1/2″ (11.5cm) in height, holds approximately 27 fl.oz (800ml).
  • Cream jug: 2 1/2″ (6.5cm).
  • Sugar bowl: 2 1/2″ (6.5cm).

Hallmarks: Vintage Georg Jensen hallmarks from 1933-1944 on all three pieces.
