Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Tea & Coffee Set #45

A Danish vintage tea and coffee set by Georg Jensen, consisting of five elegant sterling silver pieces with exquisite ebony handles. This captivating design #45, was designed by Johan Rohde circa 1915. Widely known as the “Cosmos” design, it epitomizes Rohde’s minimalist interpretation of the art nouveau style. This sought-after set bears the hallmark of a visionary ahead of his time, as hints of the emerging art deco movement can already be seen in this early 20th-century masterpiece.

Comprising a teapot, coffee pot, creamer, sugar bowl, and a versatile serving tray, this complete five-piece set offers both functionality and sophistication. The tray, apart from its serving purpose, doubles as an exceptional standalone item.

The dimensions of the components are as follows:

Teapot #45A – Stands at a height of 5 7/8″ (14.5cm).

Coffee Pot #45A – Measures 9″ (23cm) in height.

Creamer #45C – Has a height of 4 3/8″ (11cm).

Sugar Bowl #45C – Stands at 4″ (10cm) in height.

Tray – handle-to-handle span of 20 1/4″ (51.3cm), with an inside diameter measuring 16 1/2″ (42cm) x 13 1/2″ (34.5cm).
