Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Pyramid Mustard Pot 632

An early Georg Jensen sterling silver mustard pot with green enamel interior and original mustard spoon, design #632 in the iconic Pyramid pattern by Harald Nielsen. The design dates from 1930 and is an elegant example of Danish Art Deco silver. The mustard pot has a beautifully proportioned circular body raised on a stepped foot characteristic of the Pyramid pattern. The interior is finished in rich green enamel, providing a striking contrast against the sterling silver exterior. The hinged silver cover is finished with a simple spherical finial, while the elegant geometric handle incorporates a circular silver disc where it joins the body, a particularly attractive Art Deco detail. Accompanying the pot is its small mustard spoon, with a sterling silver Pyramid handle and stainless steel bowl.
