A sterling silver Georg Jensen oval Blossom tray, design #2E by Georg Jensen. This large oval hand-hammered tray features two opposing open-work blossom floral handles. The creation of this piece involves extensive craftsmanship, particularly the intricate hand-chasing of the floral details and the application of the ring rim around the tray. The hand-hammering technique strengthens the silver, ensuring the tray retains its tension. Improper hammering can result in an uneven surface, making it a task reserved for only the most skilled silversmiths.

The Blossom pattern dates back to 1905 when Georg Jensen designed the Blossom teapot, followed by several other Blossom pieces.
