Georg Jensen Old Danish Sterling Silver Cheese Plane 222

A Georg Jensen Sterling silver and stainless cheese plane, item #222, in the Old Danish pattern, designed by  Harald Nielsen in 1947.  This piece combines sterling silver and stainless steel, with the stainless component being original to the piece and hallmarked Georg Jensen stainless, made in Denmark. The design exemplifies the elegant simplicity and timeless lines of the Art Deco era, with a restrained modernist aesthetic characteristic of Nielsen’s work.
